How we work
You pay one fixed fee, agreed in writing before we start.
You know the full price, the running costs and what you'll own before anyone writes a line of code. These are the terms every project comes with.
A 20-minute call
You tell us about the site or the job. We ask what it costs you today in hours, and we tell you on the call whether we're the right people for it.
A written scope and one price
Within a week you get a one-page scope: what we'll build, what's out of scope, the fixed fee, and what Microsoft, Google or your host will charge each month to run it.
Weekly previews
We build in your accounts and show you progress every week on a private preview address.
Handover
We walk whoever will run it through how it works and leave written notes. Your team runs it from there. If you'd like us to look after it, that's a separate quote.
The terms
There are seven. They fit on one page and are the same for every client.
One fixed fee
We send a written scope and a single price. If the work takes longer than we planned, that's our cost, not yours.
The scope says what's out as well as what's in
If you ask for something outside it, we quote for that separately before we do it.
Your accounts stay yours
The domain, the hosting and your Microsoft or Google accounts stay in your name. We work through access you give us, and you can take it away at any time.
Running costs come first
Before you sign, we tell you what Microsoft, Google or your host will charge each month to run what we build.
You keep everything
The code, the templates and our written notes on how each part works are yours.
Leaving is simple
What we build was in your accounts from the start, so there's nothing to hand back. It keeps running.
We say when we can't help
If a job isn't a good fit, we tell you on the first call and, where we can, point you to someone who'd do it better.
What sets the price
Every quote is fixed, so we price from what makes a job bigger or smaller.
Websites
- How many pages the site has, and how many different layouts they use.
- How much content we move, and whether any of it needs rewriting.
- What the site connects to, such as bookings, payments or a mailing list.
- Whether your team needs an editor to change pages themselves.
Automation
- How many steps the job has, and how many of them follow fixed rules.
- How many systems it touches, such as Outlook, SharePoint, Excel or Xero.
- How many variations there are, such as different types of report.
- How many people will use it, and who needs to approve what.
Ask us for a fixed price.
Tell us about the job or the site. If we can help, the next thing you get from us is a one-page scope with one price on it.
